Mall welcomes new retailers as part of 50^th Anniversary

Iowa’s first enclosed shopping mall is celebrating 50 years of serving Dubuque and the surrounding tri-state area.   The month-long celebration culminates on Saturday, October 2.  A formal Anniversary Ceremony takes place in Center Court at 11:30 am. From noon to 5:00pm, the community is invited to enjoy an afternoon of music, costume characters, games, food and entertainment for the entire family.  This event is FREE for all to attend.

As Kennedy Mall reaches this auspicious milestone, it is also welcoming five new retailers.  Nerd HQ is a gaming lounge, catered to all genres of the “Gamer Nerd”.  It hosts casual and competitive play for table-top, board and video games.  It opened in July in a 4,445 square foot space near Hibbett Sports.

Right next door, The Tech Corner is getting ready to open in November.  The 4,276 square foot shop will specialize in repairing and refurbishing a variety of phones and other electronic devices. 

Just across the concourse, Glamvaganza is now selling stylish jewelry, handbags, hats and other accessories in a 1,140 square foot location.  Its next door neighbor is Captured on Canvas, opening its doors on October 1.  The 3,626 square foot studio both sells and teaches the art of painting on canvas. 

Caring Transitions of Eastern Iowa is the professional solution for relocation services including downsizing, decluttering and estate sales for both full and partial liquidations.  It is now opening a new office in a 13,284 square foot space next to Phoenix Theatres.  

Kennedy Mall has been serving the people of northeast Iowa, as well as nearby communities in Wisconsin and Illinois, since 1970.  Located at 555 J.F.K.
